Need a last minute weekend getaway idea?  We have an opening in the big dog for this Friday, June 12th.  (all other weekends in June are booked) Bring your family, your partner, your friend, or just yourself.  Scrumptious breakfast awaits your morning with our home-baked granola, yeast-dough coffeebreads, fresh fruits & much more.  And you can eat breakfast whenever you wish since it’s all there in the dog at time of check-in.  Light evening snack foods also provided.

Last Stay & Learn Package of ’09 Season

Spend Friday night May 29 in the World’s Biggest Beagle.  Next day take a healthful class at the beautiful nearby Monastery of St. Gertrude.  Limited enrollment.

Oils, Herbs & Salves – Sat. 5/30/09
Explore the relationships between oils, herbs and salves during this hands-on-class set in beautiful surroundings. Learn about these gifts of nature which enhance health and healing. Take a tour of the herb garden, make your own salves and enjoy the aroma of essential oils and herbs. Dress for weather.

Instructors:
Sister Carlotta Fontes OSB is a Master Herbalist and tender of the Monastery gardens. She makes salves, soaps, and balms among other healing items.
Sister Agnes Reichlin OSB is an RN and has taken herb and essential oil classes. She uses oils and herbs in many healing environments.

Learn to write a fundable grant. You will focus on how to develop your project, write a proposal, develop a budget, find the right private donors and/or government funders, submit the proposal, and much more.

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm…………….Class fee: $20
Instructor: Ken Clark, PhD in Higher Education Administration, is a certified research administrator with six years as Director of the Grants Office at Lewis Clark State College.
